“The Clowns” measures 20” X 24” (frame: 26” X 30”).

This was probably painted in the 1970’s or 1980’s. It’s bright and a real show stopper! There’s a small whole on the blue clowns collar, it is very small, doesn’t show except upon very close inspection (see pics). There are a few vertical cracks in the paint that are typical of old heavy impasto paint. The linen liner has some staining, but can be easily replaced. I think it was painted by a guy with size 44 shoes and a red honking nose who got out of Volkswagon with sixteen other guys...but I'm not sure.
